Architecture Firm Website Design
ARC Architects
ARC Architects is a renowed firm celebrating their 50th anniversary, largely focused on community projects, municipal and the public sector.
For fifty years, ARC Architects has helped cities, parks departments and community organizations in Seattle and across the Pacific Northwest turn shared hopes into civic campuses, community centers, aquatic facilities and affordable housing. The Bizango team designed ARC's previous website in 2016, and as the firm approached its fiftieth anniversary, we were glad to partner with them again to help introduce ARC to a new generation of public-sector clients.
ARC's work begins long before construction, in feasibility studies and public meetings where many voices have to find common ground. That gift for building consensus is what sets the firm apart, and it became the heart of the new site. We found ARC's new tagline already written in its own copy and refined it into the first words visitors now read: We bring community building projects to life. Featured projects on the homepage are introduced by what the work accomplished, such as A new city campus unites a community, inviting visitors to picture what ARC could do for their own town.
The homepage opens on tall video windows inspired by the offset vertical lines of ARC's logo. Inside them, ambient footage of ARC's community centers, pools and gathering spaces shows these places full of the people they were built for, so the brand feels alive from the very first moment.
For the portfolio, we created a set of flexible, branded building blocks rather than a fixed template. ARC's team has used them to tell remarkably varied stories, each page centered on whatever makes that project meaningful, while the site still feels entirely cohesive. City and agency clients can now see the listening and process behind ARC's work, not only the building at the end. Because ARC has no dedicated marketing staff, the system was also designed to be easy to maintain. It welcomes the photos the team actually has and gives unbuilt studies their own place in the portfolio.
The result is a site that is open and engaging, organized and credible, and built to grow with ARC for years to come.
