Bear Mountain Capital is a boutique wealth management firm that helps high-earning professionals and families build long-term financial confidence through planning, investment management, and deeply personalized advice.
Bear Mountain Capital came to Bizango looking for a website refresh that preserved the firm’s established Pacific Northwest identity while bringing the overall experience into a more modern, sophisticated digital presence.
Their existing site felt cramped, dated, and overly focused on specific investment niches rather than the broader relationship-driven approach that truly defines the firm.
The challenge was creating a site that felt elevated and credible enough for affluent clients, while still remaining approachable, grounded, and personable, with a distinctively northwest flair.
Our approach centered on translating Bear Mountain’s personality and client philosophy into a more immersive digital experience.
Rather than leaning into the cold, corporate aesthetics common in the financial industry, we built the site around a sense of clarity, ease, and confidence — reflecting the firm’s belief that great wealth management should reduce anxiety, not create more of it.
The design combines clean modern layouts, generous white space, subtle Pacific Northwest textures and imagery, and aspirational imagery centered around travel, family, and outdoor living.
To reinforce an emotional connection, we created an ambient homepage video that blended aspirational lifestyle footage — travel, family, adventure, and quiet moments outdoors — with imagery grounded in Pacific Northwest living, helping prospective clients see themselves and the life they are working toward reflected in the brand experience.
A major focus of the project was improving how Bear Mountain communicates its process and relationships. We restructured the homepage around the firm’s phased approach to financial planning and ongoing advisory work, helping prospective clients better understand how Bear Mountain guides them from foundational planning into long-term partnership.
At the same time, we simplified the user experience for existing clients by creating a dedicated client portal hub that clearly routes users to the appropriate financial tools and reporting systems. Throughout the site, we emphasized the firm’s personality — approachable experts who are just as comfortable talking through complex financial planning as they are discussing skiing, travel, or life in the Pacific Northwest.
